The global tech industry has experienced tremendous growth over the last decade and Nigeria has not been left out. But a growing industry does not always mean that more businesses are successful.
According to a report by Weetracker cited in the Punch, Nigerian tech start startups have a high failure rate of up to 61.7%. Funding for startups saw 54% decline in 2023. One of the reasons for this is the poor management practices by Nigerian founders such as mismanagement of funds, fraud and product-market fit challenges.
These failures highlight a gap in the Nigerian education sector. The Nigerian tech scene needs skilled business leaders that can drive and manage its growth. This gap is one that the Nigerian University of Technology and Management (NUTM) hopes to fill.
If you are a professional in the tech Industry looking to equip yourself with entrepreneurial skills that would empower you to succeed in the fast-paced world of technology then you should know more about the NUTM.
